5 reasons we love Omni Montelucia resort when we visit Scottsdale AZ

Scottsdale in January!  What a great place to start the new year. 75 degrees (Fahrenheit) and sunny.  If the PNW ever gets too cold, dark and wet, this is the great escape. 

Only 2.5 hours by plane from Seattle, Phoenix and the greater area is the perfect getaway.

We love to stay at the Omni Montelucia when we visit.  Here are our top 5 reasons why:

5. The architecture - Unique Spanish style well suited to the climate. Huge archways, heavy wooden doors, beautiful tile work. This entire property is well designed and built with quality materials.  There are a dozen or more buildings so you don’t feel jammed into a tower with a never ending hallway.

4. The service - We prefer to not be disturbed which is what we get. However, when we do need something, everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly. Definitely use the valet service and don’t hesitate to call for a golf cart ride as the property is large.

3. The landscape - The hotel is set at the foot of camelback mountain and the views of the mountain are spectacular. Old palm trees everywhere. Dark velvet red bougainvillea grow tall along the walls. The grass is meticulously kept and there are huge orange trees all around.

2. The food - They have everything you need on site.  Crave is a little coffee shop with sandwiches and snacks and things you need like aspirin and sunscreen. Prado is a very classy but still casual somehow, restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner. mBar is right near the pool and has drinks and a fresh menu.

1. Chef’s Kitchen- We got married here so of course it’s our number one and of course we’re biased but this place is truly unique and high quality all around. You can host your wedding or event here as well!
