Dahlia is the king of flowers
Share
We're anthophiles. We love flowers of all kinds. In our garden we have roses, lilies, camelia, passion flower, daisies, clematis and more but the one that steals the show every year is the dahlia.
The dahlia does well in the pacific northwest. You don't have to dig up the tubers and replant them because they can handle what little frost we get here.
We are not alone in our admiration of this amazing flower. At the moment we only have three varieties in our yard but we were recently reminded about the abundance of variety at the annual show held in late summer at Sky Nursery in Shoreline, WA.
Admission is FREE and you can see over 2000 blooms from local growers. This is a must see event and we have the pictures to prove it.
