Klimt Kiss Outdoor Pillows
The Kiss is likely the most widely recognized piece of art by Gustav Klimt. It represents the apex of his 'Golden Period' which was inspired by his visits to Ravenna, where he saw the stunning mosaics of the Byzantine church, San Vitale. The 6' x 6' piece was perceived to be pornographic to post-Victorian society of the early 1900's, but despite the bad publicity, it sold before it was even finished for 25,000 crowns (the equivalence of approximately $240,000 in today's U.S. currency). The Belvedere Museum of Vienna, Austria purchased the piece and continues to proudly displays it today.
This pillow is an homage to Klimt's romantic piece and has the entire painting on one side and a close-up of the beautiful floral motif on the other. Yet another exclusive Edmonds Love design that cannot be found elsewhere.
